I actually don't share her sentiment on this one. If I could become a mythological fox right now in exchange for fading away, I wouldn't even think twice.

How could you say no to a face like that?

Very nice and with a lot of improvement! Much more depth, more vivid colours and improved shading ^^

As for constructive feedback I'd like to note that the shading can be improved further by having deeper shadows in places the light would have more trouble reaching. It looks like the light source is in front and above her, so shadows would be more visible below the arm, on the neck under the head, towards the back and below the tail. Currently it seems like there is too much ambient lighting.

Hope this will be of some use
Cheers

I'll be the first to admit I have little to no idea what I'm doing when I shade

It's already a great improvement over the previous version, so don't worry too much about that.

If you want to practise it more or doubt if something looks good then you can try to check how light behaves in reality. Regarding shapes try to find something with a similar curvature, for reflectivity try to find something with similar texture/surface properties. Then shine a light on it and move it around ^^

Damnit I don't have an Amber sculpture to try this on

If you want to try it out, use something with the same texture as you want to draw for the color/reflection. So for clothes you can take something with a similar fabric and color, looking at how that behaves/reflects. For the shape a sculpture might work, but being a miniature you'd need to be careful with possible distortions that wouldn't normally be part of the shape. For character shapes you can use people and/or animals as examples. An anthropomorphic arm doesn't differ much in shape compared to a human arm.

So for Amber you could use a combination of human and fox references as shape references for shadows and look up fox fur under different lighting conditions to see how it reflects
Of course for non realistic art you'll abstract this, but it can still be helpful to learn how light and shadows behave and derive simplified versions (the size of highlights and sharpness of shadows can convey a lot about a material even if abstract)

If you want to use pictures as references it can also help to load it into a image editor and use the color picker to see which color is where (as colors in shadows and reflections can quickly be misinterpreted by our eyes due to the surrounding colors and the mind trying to compensate for lighting conditions).

Subtle and noticeable changes. Pose change an different view perspective. Both have their unique differences. I can't really judge on improvements, for is not really an area for me to say on.

Nice work. I like the way the colors compliment each other. The eyes and face are pretty great- I've never been that good at drawing eyes.

Great job on the tail too- nice and poofy. Exactly the way I draw them too~
