This is true, but I'm not sure whether that's good or bad. The good side is that they are remarkable people; but on the other hand bad things have usually happened to those kinds of people.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Usually people that have gone through hard times let those things change them in a negative way. It's hard to find people that have gone through difficult points in their life (like all of us have) and still manage to look on the sunny side, it seems like. Gotta stay positive!
