Description Well, here it is.
"Duizend kraanvogels uit een stuk papier " (Thousand cranes out of one piece of paper).
So no glue, cutting or anything like it.
The photo shows you thru the process in big steps. I worked on this for about 4 months.
In the beginning it was a little hard but later I got a hang of it.
Hope you all like it

I won't add another "OMG amazing" comment because it's obvious, but I will say that I know the amount of work that goes into making a bunch of cranes, let alone a TON (maybe half a ton! ha ha) of cranes that are all connected! I'm into origami, and I guess I'm pretty good at it (I have some geometric and Chinese origami in my "other art" folder in my gallery). I have a pretty good understanding of it too, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how you could make a continuous chain like this! Any instructions anywhere? I would love a challenge... [what am I getting myself into?!]

That's soo cool! I wonder if there's some kind of record for origami that you might've broken with that. You're amazing! Keep at it! ^^

You certainly deserve a prize !! I have been doing origami for as long as I can remember. I helped an aunt to make cranes for a wedding once, I was probably about 7 or 8. I have to find out how to do this. It is amazing and so are you. ~Aloha

That's amazing, I would love to know how to make this. I'd probably make like a 20 chain and wear it as a necklace or something. XD
Your photos look good, you did a good compilation of them.

Making 1000 individual cranes is hard enough (I've tried; I only got up to 250 odd before life caught up with me), but making 1000 cranes from one piece of paper is something else! Amazing!

Dankjewel!

My Commercial Arts Shop is doing something like this, but we're making a huge Paper Mache' Dragon. Its taking months!
