Description So, in honor of my newfound Whovian fandom, I figured I'd draw my... technically second.. maybe third, doctor, the Tenth Doctor Who. It's kind of hard to say because I've seen random episodes on BBC before I actually watched it. Anyway, yes. It's a practice drawing of an action pose. I'm terrible at action poses.

Going to color it in. Might add his glasses.
Edit: Began coloring. Added glasses. May fix that hand.
Edit2: More coloring. Changed which suit he's wearing. Shading. Still have to fix the poor TARDIS.
Edit3: Not satisfied with the shading. Love the inside of the TARDIS. And the TARDIS looks much nicer in general. Cleaned up lines, changed his expression to more fit what I originally had in mind, and made him more textured. Still gotta shade that tie though. Oh, and added shine to the glasses and glow to the sonic screwdriver. And remade the sonic screwdriver to be more accurate.
Final Edit: Added grit on his face, fixed the TARDIS inside, made the TARDIS glow, and finished the tie. That should be everything.

This is brilliant~ The toning on his skin, particularly his face, looks absolutely amazing and I love the detail on the inside of the Tardis as well~

I'm hoping to still work on the skin a bit. It's really surprising how well my oil painting skills translate digitally. I don't know if I like the oil painting coinciding with the neat pretty lines made with a ruler or not. And is it just me, or from a distance, does it look like the TARDIS inside came from a photo or something?

Yes~ Apparently one must be able to paint well traditionally in order to paint well digitally, but I don't know how true this is.
It actually does look a little like that too!

I'd say both translate to one another really well, but traditional painting seems as though it was a little more thoroughly learned for me than painting digitally.

I'm so glad the pose looks good. The expression took me almost as long. Usually I'm so good at expressions the first time around.

This is wonderful!
I've been thinking about getting into the Doctor Who fandom, but I still need to catch up on Supernatural.

I had been trying to figure out how to get into Doctor Who for several months, ever since figuring out what it was. It's one of those premises that makes me say "brilliant! I wish I'd thought of that".
