for the 100 theme challengeAlso, a fanart for The Pillars of the Earth. I've started watching the miniseries, and I love it so far!
this one is called "abandoned" because Tom Builder had to abandon his newborn child in the wilderness because his wife died and they had no way to feed it. Soon after, a monk found the child and raised him in a monastery. Tom learns that his son, named Jonathan, is alive. Although he never tells the boy that he is his father, he cares for Jonathan greatly

You're very welcome! I'm almost done with the book, and after I'm done I'm going to watch the miniseries. Speaking of which, is it true to the book? Or at least good? I haven't heard much about it.

It's pretty true to the book. I mean, they had to change a lot to condense such a long book into such a short miniseries, but I think it stayed to true to the book's mood and characters and emotions.
