I see the brushstrokes are easily visible and the colors are broken. When you paint these, do you think like an impressionist painter would in terms of painting light and letting the colors mix optically?
I'm very amazed at how well the colors work together to make the painting come alive.

Thanks! Yes, absolutely - I have an impressionist's mindset when I paint. There's a bell that goes off in my head when I'm overworking an area. That is, painting too much detail and getting pedantic with it. Indicate, don't state - always, always. That's my goal.
