Well,
By then, whne you knew me, I had no equipment whatsoever, so I barely could scan some sketches( eight for sheet of paper, too: that´s why those were small, thus quite cruddy looking ); now that I have such equipment( scanner, own coputer and such - even a notebook ), I can work a little better than before, I hope.

I´m not sure if you meant that´s just a change( well, styles change, anyway ), or if the change itself wasn´t pleasant for you - anyway, I coldn´t tell whatever changed so I could recall any aspects of my "previous style" were more agreeable... !

a little of both, it is a new style for you but at the same time the parts of your old style i liked the most were what changed. it is not bad just not so nice on my end

Sadly, people move on and leave friends back... Thankfully, I still have at least some contact with poeple that I knew when I was a newbie, too!
I´m instigues about wahtever made my old roughs so special: maybe a sense of trying to tell a story through them? I may notice that my recent ones dens´t heve such as much as those I did before!

actually, that may be part of it, the older ones(even the really rough doodles) did leave a more lasting impression since they all said something but i think it is the rather original feel of your old, softer, drawing style. there wasn't anything overtly fetishised or sexualised about the art even when they had tastes of the adult to them. these just feel like normal blah fanart and general doodles
maybe i just liked the way the old art moved like the animations of my childhood. they are certainly more visually receptive

Fetished?
Well, there´s fetish for EVERYTHING nowadays, so I canm´t even know hat if I´m doing something portentially fetishist or not( well, I lilekto draw socks, but because those are cute )

culturally speaking there are certain ways of drawing things to convey sexual beauty, most of which are in what gets focus and how, i think these two are a good pair to use as an example since it is the same theme and simmilar dress;
in this one [link] the focus is on their faces/deads with a secondary focal point on the color. the thing that sells this image is it is keene lila and olga and they are doing some sort of dance/exercise thing. it is simple, it leads to a lot of interesting questions and it shows, even though it is flavored marcos that you know where you got them from(you retain some of the style of the original creators). it is not the prettiest picture but it is nice and well-rounded and is comfortable to look at for everyone while giving special kudos to those who know who these chars are
this one however [link] is a little different. the thing you notice first is what she is wearing or more, how little of it there is below the waist with a secondary focal at the breasts and crotch specifically. the face only comes after you have looked at all of the body, taken note of each place you have made specific note of (the crotch, the lace at the top of the stocking and the hip making a triad of lines and open space) and even then it is not important who it is because it is just a pretty pinup girl. you can enjoy the picture without knowing who she is or why she is standing there like that. it does not say anything other than 'look at me'
so while it is the same theme and the same girl is in both images they say entirely different things to the audience about both the girl and about the artist. it went from appreciation to ogling and all that really changed was they style in which it was drawn. this new style does not appeal because i like the chars and i like the cartoons they came from. i don't want a cheap gimmicky 2d version, i want something with depth
also, so that you know, i was browsing da for examples of quality vs sexuality so you could see with other artists what i tried to share with yours and nearly all of the most popular ha pics with olga are your old ones

in the former you have to wonder how olga got helga to try it and what is going to happen, in the latter the only thing you care about is the tickling and while they are both specifically ha fanart the latter can be replaced by anyone and get a virtually identical result in both the char and the person looking but the former is heavily dependent on you knowing what kind of personalities each char has and a working knowledge of how these things tend to play out and combining those two things together to come up with a hypothetical end result

I beg to disagree.
Actually, at the first pic<> you mentioned, the main focus was an archetypicla threesome: woman/matron, maid/child and woman; i just toke the chance to mix up three of my favorite characters and didn´t resisted to invoke such an achetipical image thru something that could be common among them, that is a love for the art of dance: Miss Keane wears a typical 80´s attire, while Lila has a calssical ballet ensemble, and Olga, perhaps,a more generic thing( not only dancing, but yoga/pilates perhaps: I always thougth that she could be fond of those "altenrative approaches" on health and exercising.
In fact, at some academies/dance schoold, depending on their size, there´s places for quite almost every kind of activities related as such - why not to wonder if Olga is intorducing Lila to Miss Keane in termos of "she´s my little sis", in an affectionate/flattering way, so lila is blushing about being so introduced to a stranger?
As fof the second picture , if you ever had the chance( I did: in fact, I quite go after reference form the real thing )to see people going out of a dance/step exercise, you may notice how their muscles are tense, and their forms get so defined just after the practice was over or, as in such case, they have a break - so, even the called "crotch" you noticed becomes defined, as much the other shapes of teh body: it´s a mere matter of muscles still under tension; besides, why not to wonder why olga has such a face?
Maybe someone is taking a photo of her( on which the picture supposedly caught her in such moment ),or that´s just Olga looking demure... well, as you said, it looks like she were saying "look at me", ain´t that?
I admint that most of my recent pics doesn´t have a clearly obvious "story" behind them, but people may still figure out situation of of those - it´s just matter about how to deal such information.
