I think Rise felt a little too jarring for people who were fans of the 2012 show, myself included. The characters were all really different from any of their previous incarnations (especially Splinter oh dear) and the tone of the show a little too goofy. For me personally, it just didn't seem like my kind of show so I haven't felt the need to watch it. Regardless, Donnie was my favorite in the 2012 series so I'm glad he still holds up in Rise.

I completely understand that some fans are not into this new version of them, it's okay if you don't like this show! What bothers me is the people that just wants this show to get inmediatly cancelled, calling it lazy or the new TTG
I personally love this new show, if you have know me for a while (and you have haha) you know how much I love goofy shows. I adore cartoons with complex stories and characters, but comedy-centered ones are usually always my favorite, they make me really happy
I think it's cool that they make different versions of the turtles, that way people with different tastes can get interested in the franchise. Some people might prefer the 2012 series, while others may like the 2018 one more. I'm happy this reboot exists, I've never been really invested in TMNT but I sure am right now, and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way! ^^

I used to watch the 2003 series with my brother, but I can't remember a thing from it, I was too young x)
