This is lovely. My wife and i spent our honeymoon traveling up the coast in California, and i remember stopping like every half mile while driving through Big Sur. Your painting captures the mood and the feeling of the place very well! Gorgeous piece of work!

Thank you so much! Yes, Big Sur is great. My parents have a place up the coast from there. Did you camp at Julia Pheiffer (spell?) State Park? That is fun to do. Lots of hiking on both sides of 1.

You're welcome! No camping for us. We drove up to the Red Woods and then back through the interior to get to Santa Barbara...where my wife's daughter lives.

I like the way you suggest plants in the front, the color palette which suggests a nice summer day, and the subtle color and detail cues suggesting depth. And all with a casualness almost as if the marks on the paper were accidents. Skillful!
Hope I'll be able to control watercolor like that soon.
