Description

This mandala was commissioned to facilitate the connection with Archangel Mikael. To honor this important guide, I made a broad research so all his aspects could be depicted and evoked through this mandala. His early appearances in written lore mention his healing powers, hence the greenish blue. He has been associated by some cultures and religions to the Greek god Apollo - which makes for the yellow and gold - and also for his relation to prosperity, abundance and wealth. The Egyptian symbol for death at the center of the mandala, the ankh, refers to his role as one of the angels of death, guiding the souls to their final resting place. The main color of this mandala is blue, as Archangel Michael is nowadays strongly associated with protection from all evil. If you pay close attention, you'll see his sword depicted behind the ankh.
