You have no idea how much it means to me to hear that. Other than my "In Real Life" friends, you're one of the only people who regularly interacts with me on here. I have a pretty eclectic style, so I'm confused about my art a lot too. Still kinda finding my way as an artist.
Sometimes doing only parts of a subject are easier for me. Because the less of something there is to draw/paint/whatever, the less likely I am to "ruin" what I already have down.
I find it easiest to work in blacks and whites because I'm not very skilled in color theory. I like minimalism a lot... doing very few colors and very few details, while still getting across what you've made art of is challenging.
