Ah, one of my favourite pictures...
While I have no favourite characters, I took great care drawing Max, as I felt he really deserved it. Incidentally, if you're interested, all the inking was done not with a pen, but with a random scrap of copper I had left over from an earlier metal project; it made it a little difficult but achieved some interesting effects, particularly with the trees.
