Description This is my re-do of my most popular photo Green Gap for s challenge.

I am also entering this in s contest: Focus on Nature

This is a crazy rock formation where there is a perfectly vertical gap down the middle of this massive rock... the gap is just over shoulder width and the rock is maybe 4m high. There is a sort of bridge over the top at one point were a trees roots have held the ground over it.
Dam cool thing to see!

I love both Green Gaps - they differ in colour and atmosphere but they're both amazing!

Like ~lazysummerday , I think that both shots have their appealing points.
In the retake I really enjoy the colors. About the focus, I think I would like to see everything sharp... But as it is it's also interesting.
I don't know if it possible, but have you tried to take a shot closer of the ground?

there is a series of natural steps that I took this from and I experimented with where I took them, this one was with the legs of the tripod completely in.
I do have one with the foreground in focus... but when I was flicking between the 2... I found this one had a better feel to it. I guess its personal preference! Like I didnt really like the original but it is my most popular photo!
Thanks for your comments none the less!

hmmmmmmmmmm

somehow I can't really decide which I like better it's technically perfect, though - in comparison - I kinda miss the eerie mysterious fairy tale touch the first picture showed.

I like them both a lot!
