True but I can't see why it wasn't a good marriage... those inks were awesome! I thought it blended really really well.

Thanks man; I thought so too! But Ivan's stuff is really fine; I lost some of it in the conversion to blueline, tried to add in nuance on my own that may not have been present in the pencils and probably missed some that were present and that I could not see.

I get that they want to test out new inkers and don't want to give Ivan more work but really - if I wanted to test a new inker - I'd want to see it over my original pencils. You lose way too much blue lining it.

I dunno man. I don't agree that it's not a good marriage. An inker is supposed to enhance a pencillers work and that's what I see here.

Ah, I appreciate the kind words. I think the pages look decent, though I see bits here and there that could have been better. But Ivan already has some great inkers that he's happy with, so no complaints on my end!

True dat, but adding an inker of your quality and abilities to the stable IMO would have been nothing but a plus on his end.

1) short deadlines are never good.
2) inking on blue line is like driving a porsche on dirt roads - you'll never get the right idea of the quality you have.
3) you STILL did an awesome job (and I follow Ivan religiously).

Good work no matter what!
