Description An illustration based on a scene from the ‘pulp’ science fiction novel of the 1940’s: 'Grey Lensman’ by E.E.‘Doc’ Smith.
The 'baddies' planet is destroyed by being pulverised between two mobile moons!!

As mentioned, very nice illustration in the tradition of Foss, who happen to be my big inspiration aswell (and Peter Elson and Angus Mckie for that matter).

Foss's work has always been a huge source of inspiration for me Mikael, and hopefully this
shows in my current 3D fractal work?! 
Elson and McKie are extremely influential too, as are Peter Jones, Tony Masters and Jim Burns.

Thanks! You got it - I've been an admirer of Chris Foss's work since I first read E.E.'Doc' Smith's 'Lensman' series back in the '70's - when SF artworks were actually paintings in the real sense of the word!
