I love how her left hand keeps the webbing between her fingers above the water!Β  That was one disappointing feature to the exotic looking mermaids in the latest "Pirates of the Carribean" movie; they lost their cool fishy features like their fingerwebs when they surfaced.Β  This piece is just amazing looking!!

The original was sculpted in Super Sculpey. This is a resin casting painted with acrylics by The talented Kat Sapene.
The water is cast in translucent acrylic.
