Description
A sad, water damaged portrait of my wife's beautiful mother.This portrait, taken in the twenties, had seen better days.
This is the best of four scans. It's actually better than the original, even now. The scanner picked up some of the tones that were washed away from the original. I'd like to restore it, but I just don't have the time now.

Mark, this is the best I could do. [link] I found this one quite difficult to restore. The texture of the photo paper was difficult to reproduce.

That's more than I've been able to accomplish! I believe you're right. It's the paper texture that makes it tough. But you've done a wonderful job! Thank you so much! May I print a copy for my wife?

Her daughter ain't bad either! I've been trying to do some sort of exact restoration. I work on it in bits and pieces, fits and starts. I have her eyes almost finished. Her hair, I'm thinking of downloading some brushes, and repainting it.
