What to me appears like the sun rising gives these images power over abstraction.
The splashes of white could signify city lights or sunlight being reflected. Could be water, could be city lights.
Abstraction is a wonderful medium, that allows the mind to see whatever it is that it wants or thinks is seeing.
You're a powerful artist Markus, because being primarily a photographer, you catch reality as we perceive it to be, this gives you a
strong anchoring. Therefore when you turn your hand to the canvas with paint, the "ether" that is in you comes alive.
I doubt that anyone else got as big a kick out of your work as I have today, Awesome work Markus.

There is a visionary beauty to your painting...and even as a work in progress the mirrored pools and flowing waterfalls come alive.
You were right, no matter how this may eventually transform, to stop and save this moment of its creation.
