Description I wrote the proceeding before making the art. Now that I've made the card, I'll describe it a bit.
...This is a freehanded drawing, meaning it was done without guidelines or significant undersketching. It just seemed the proper method for these subjects, despite the fact I greatly dislike freehanding (in Robin-Williams's Genie voice, "I don't like doing it!").

Anyway, below appear my original notes (enjoy)! :3

I think most of my watchers know I'm not a fan of most of the characters/shows I commit to graphite. I mean, how could I be: I've made over 200 ACOs at this point---no way I could have watched all those shows/movies and still maintained a life! XD

That said, I do have some legitimate childhood memories of some of my ACO subjects ...including this unusual one. :3

These dinosaurs are based on those which appeared in Walter Simonson's 'Persistence of Memory' (PoM).

PoM was written by Simonson and illustrated by Arthur Adams. It's a rather difficult comic to find these days---a casual Google search yields only images of the Salvador Dali painting of the same name as our comic.
Unless one knows exactly what one's looking for, one would never find this comic! XD

Luckily, I do know, so... here's the uncolored version for your reading pleasure (link tested 0525/2020): crypticcorridor.blogspot.com/2…

I'll let y'all read the comic on your own---NO RE-VIEW FOR YOU! D:

...but I will share the tale of how I came to discover this comic. :3

Concisely, I was 10 years old, saw the comic in a Disney Adventures magazine at a grocery check-out, and begged my mother to buy it for me. ^^

She did (and I still have my original copy)! :3

As for the magazine itself, it's the August 1991 issue of Disney Adventures. The issue's cover has Hulk Hogan (wrestler) with an arm around a render of a dinosaur (that looks no worse for the wear).

...Oh, man! there's an ad in here for Chip and Dale Fudge Bars (think 'ice cream on a stick', in the shape of character heads).
I had these. I recall the noses were knock-off M&M candies. Specifically, Dale's nose was red, so when you removed the candy nose, some of the coloring would be left behind, giving the (humorous) effect of blood (what? I was a disturbed child)!

:9

Anyway, for those who don't know, Disney Adventures was a children's magazine published from 1990 to 2007. The mainstays of the magazine were its celebrity interviews and comics---lots and lots of comics!
For perspective, this issue has four comics (Rescue Rangers, Roger Rabbit, PoM and Talespin), each boasting several pages in length.

Later issues would serialize the latest Disney-movie release in comic form, usually over the course of two issues (effectively giving the magazine's readers a full comic adaptation of the 'big' Disney movie of the times).
I recall Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame films each had their screenplays so adapted---there may have been others.

...and, yes, I have several-dozen different issues of Disney Adventures (I'm a hoarder---I buy stuff and never discard it ...unless I have to, of course) :3

Anyway... Dinosaurs!
