Yes, this is certainly one of the most impressive statues of the Monumental cemetery of Milano.
I don't know the story behind, but yes, it is clearly a representation of a deathbed...
You know, it is strange to think she will lie like this forever, under the shadow of the trees, really a strange feeling when you see it...

To tell you the truth it is a very simple post processing (an option of a little Mac program), but the effect it's interesting on pictures like this one
The location is the Monumental Cemetery of Milano, a real outdoor museum.
