My people were fair and had sky in their hair... but now they're content to wear stars on their brows. - Tyrannosaurus Rex
Has Ms. Meliora returned to the old ways, or is she unrelated to the people of T. Rex?

Woah, you're a legend.
Reason? C'mon, next to Chloe everything else is a let down. Thank you though! For the compliment and what you do, the art world is better for the curves you draw.

Somehow I missed this one, but I've got to say that's quite a lot of junk in the trunk she's got there. And I love the nebula(per usual), which to me looks kind of like a rose.

One of her better qualities, as far as physical matters are concerned. x) And good eye, it's called the Rosette nebula (or the Caldwell 49, Christmas Wreath Nebula, etc.) purely because of the rose shaped dust clouds; And a few new stars here and there.

Ah! That makes sense. What I love the most about nebulae is that for as large as they are, there are so many that just happen to resemble such minute things that we see here on Earth. Fractal geometry at its finest.

I can appreciate that but also the equally marveling fact that the human brain is designed to pick out patterns and shape symmetries and convert them into an image already registered by the viewer.
Did you know, the reason people see "faces" so often in trees, out of the corner of the eye, in Jesus-toast (a less dignified example) is because we are given the innate ability to seek out potentially hidden faces? It's a survival mechanism to defend ourselves against being snuck up on so easily. Not something used so much this day, but remnants of it are seen when we jump as the glimpse of ourselves in a dark mirror or anything of the like.

My dad always said life immitates art and art immitates life.
What's even more amazing to me is how these patterns and the symmetry of the universe are interwoven with our idea of mathematics. Math is really just this hypothetical concept representing these patterns and symmetries that we experience in the known universe. That's why I want my alien species to only see the universe and communicate using math alone. No light perception or hearing, just purely brainwork.
Sorry, got a little off-topic there.
I agree with you, but I also think we see faces in everything because we look at more faces than we look at anything else. Everything that is human is about exploring another body through this frontal "mask" so-to-speak. If there's anything you've taught me with your (very entrancing)eyes, it's that you get to explore the core of someone's soul(ironically represented by our physical core, the heart) a little bit by looking them straight through the eyes. Granted, I'm not so familiar with this, but it's what I've gathered from my experiences.

Oy vey, I maybe shouldn't be working out right now when I need to get up and open the store in the morning. OH WHALE, QUESTIONABLE HABITS ARE MY FORTE.
The math concept is probably something people have tested with in writing or concept, but never thought through to the point of explanation or any solid foundation. I think you should really stick with that idea and form it out.
I think that's the modern take on it. Most of the human race isn't traversing through jungles wide-eyed with a dire need to be able to spot potential prey or: for the face-detection's sake, predators. It definitely puts a great importance on expression and observation, at least if you want to know more about the person than what's on the surface. Faces are the forefront of communication. We can lie with words but our bodies can easily, and often, betray us.
We are all open books really, when it comes to our gestures, actions and expressions. I'd much rather observe a person than listen to them if I'm trying to figure something out. I get to the "point" much quicker that way, and there's no red tape of deciphering their thought patterns or verbal responses.

Actually, this math idea is what fractal geometry is all about. Not the wallpapers, but the actual science behind making them.
And working out, eh? You should be sleeping! The more you work out the skinnier you'll get, and we wouldn't want you to lose that perfect curvature ;D
I think you're right about it being our modern 'jungle' though. I like to think I can understand facial expressions and read body language to such a degree that I can reach below the surface. I think my main problem is actually being able to control my own facial expressions. Like I told you before, I don't use my eyebrows often. Which I think eyebrows are the most important part of a facial expression in action. Although, I imagine I'm extremely easy to read, so I don't even try to put on a front most of the time.

Ah, I see. Fractals make me think of multiple interfacing patterns. Especially in repetition.
Chyeah I'm working out, I'm chubby and gross! xD
You really stumped me when I first met you, because most people are like onions. You have to work past a few insecurities, fronts, and self-built protective layers to get to who they really are. But with you, there weren't any falsities. So you can imagine how I went in running and proverbially skidded on my heels to stop and look around at the simple reality that you didn't have any layers of lies or tricks to work through.
It's like knowing exaggerated people all your life then meeting a realistic, blunt one. It makes you check yourself and I'll admit, I was skeptical for a while. You seemed too honest and pure to be real, but I'd imagine that's something that comes with having what you have.
It was refreshing though.
And you really don't use your eyebrows, come to think of it xD I'm always amused when you do because you're either shocked or scrutinizing . I'm glad you're smiling easier now though. Not sure if you were just in a hard place during the first few months I knew you, but I've noticed you've started to smile more. And laughs aren't so hard to catch with you. Still really reserved and soft, but a laugh's a laugh.

Yeah, that's pretty much all fractals are really. The math forms the pattern. The more math, the more intricate the pattern.
And you are not chubby and gross. Chubby and delightful would be my word choice.
Yeah, I'll admit you had me being super-skeptical at first, because I'd never met anyone quite so intelligent socially. I'm always so vulnerable and naive due to my condition, so I can easily be controlled, which makes me weary of neurotypicals(non-autistic people). Which is also why I didn't smile as much at first. Now I just can't help myself when around you at all :3

Oh good, I'm on the right track :>
Fffff- you're so mislead. I look like a lumpy grandma sweater.
I DON'T SEE WHY YOU SAY THAT. xD Whatever it is that you've seen, I haven't done it intentionally. And it really makes me curious as hell to know what you mean by 'my social intelligence'.
Because I try so hard to act normally and not psychologically pry into people's minds or manipulate them subtly. So I'm always making a conscious effort to not use my wiles for selfish gain or to make my life easier. Guess I'm not trying hard enough.
Well good! Now we just need to get you laughing more. I'm pretty sure there are still levels of you I haven't broken through, because it's apparent that you're still nervous about me. I'll work past that though, just takes time. :>

Lumpy grandma sweater?
What does that even imply?
Either way, I'd say you're more like a smooth vase that a grandma might have in their living room.
And I say that because you're replies are so quick-witted, and you have total control in every conversation you have with someone. You know how to make any person you meet happy or content, even if they have a completely different viewpoint.
And you're not gonna get past a few aspects of me. I'm still nervous when around even my closest friends. Moving practically every year of my life until I was 13 made it harder and harder for me to open up to people. That and my dad telling me my whole life to "never trust anyone but yourself".
