Just wondering, since you claim this is a warmup, about how long does something like this take you from start to finish?

Nooo don't be discouraged! ;A; There are so many artists that I admire and their work blows my mind but you can't ever give up on your own stuff!

How did you find your art style? I still can't figure mine out. I am greatly influenced by your work, but I don't want to copy you.

I really appreciate that. I've dealt with a lot of people either ripping off my style or tracing my work to do what they think is 'improving their art' but it doesn't improve their talent. It only hurts me and leaves them as dependent on another artist and another person's creativity as they were before.
I would suggest looking around at other artists (so a dozen or more that you admire so that you don't focus on one person-find things you like from each different style) or broad styles in general- like a manga series, or cartoons, or a handful of artists. Because if you let one artist influence your work, you'll more than likely unintentionally be leeching their ideas, style, characters, and grabbing things from their life that they spent years loving or being involved in. It may sound silly, but it's like taking a bit of their soul and it can be very damaging to have your life or ideas or art picked apart for someone else to improve or feel better.
My style was developed in the way I suggested to you. My main inspirations are things like Disney movies, Art Nouveau, Marvel & DC Comics etc, but there are plenty of artists I look up to. However, I force myself to not look at their work constantly otherwise I know I'll accidentally start using their techniques or styles and that's not the artist I want to be. Then if I ever am so inspired by an artist that I really want to do a piece inspired by them or offer some kind of one-type commission they came up with first I always ask them if I have their permission to loosely use their idea and give them credit publicly for the original idea/technique/whatever else.
I've only ever had that happen two or three times, but I think everyone should be that considerate. The only people you hear complaining about how 'that shouldn't be copyrighted/I'm allowed to use you for inspiration' are the people who are guilty and are just straight up using someone else for personal gain and trying to make it sound acceptable. I'm super adamant about giving due credit to any and all parties and not taking artistic credit for things I didn't pioneer all on my own.
I hope that novel helps!

Thank you so much for the tip! I do admire several other artists, but whenever I try to doodle without a reference, I subconsciously begin to draw in their style. I kind of have my own semi-developed style, but I absolutely hate it.

Trust me, every artist will 'hate' their style. They'll love it because it will be the combination of many other things they love/what they find aesthetically pleasing- but I cannot tell you how many times I look at my art and just heave a sigh. I get tired of the way I draw this, or the way I color that, or I see other artists and their style seems so shiny and new and perfect- but trust me, it's just a 'grass is greener on the other side' sort of deal. No, your art will never be 'perfect', because there is no such thing. And so long as you continue to work on your art regardless of if you just feel like nothing you do is turning out right, you'll always improve.Β
There will be moments of dissatisfaction, where you grow weary or unhappy with your own style. Just as there will be moments of pride when you find a new technique to use or create something better than you ever have. That's the good thing about art, so long as you keep at it- you'll never get 'worse'. You can only go up from any one point in your art. Climbing uphill isn't easy- in the real world or in things like art and creation, but nothing worth having is easy. And your style WILL change as you improve and grow. It will reflect the things you like at that point in your life, like a personality timeline in visual form. One day you'll happen to look at something you drew a year ago and be amazed at not only the improvement, but where your 'style' is a year later.Β
It never stays the same, art mirrors life. Always changing and expanding and growing, treat it like a living thing and know that no flower blooms every day of the year. They have their seasons, and so will you and your art. Don't discourage yourself by setting your standards for yourself too high or to a point where you'll be miserable forever chasing that level that's always 'just out of your reach'. Be proud of where your reach is today, be humble in knowing that you can always be better or learn more, and be optimistic for where your art will take you in the days and years to come.

LOL no, except that. Wide hipped, wide faced girls with an extremely similar hair texture. I'm a legs guy, too. Last girl I dated was just short of 5'1 and was a little over 125lbs, a tiny yet solid gymnast lacrosse player.
