I DID IT!!!! It only took 4 practice runs, 2 with white paper, 2 with actual origami paper, but I did it!!! Thua design each time took nearly an hour and I completely messed up on two of the practice. It was a request from another Deviant Artist named ValiantlyYoungChaos! It was definatly a challenge, but i happily took it on and here is the result!!!valiantlyyoungchaos

Thank you Mary Jane, it's brilliant. I like the setting, it could almost be the Welsh Valley's with the river Taff running through. In fact there's a waterfall a bit like that not far from where my Grand Parents used to live. It's going straight into my Favourites file.

I had a good hard think and I came up with this. I hope you like it and I think you of all people you will understand the symbolism.
The two figurines of cats were my uncle's. He died about two years ago and as his next of kin the task of sorting out his estate
fell to me. His name was Peter and he was the last of his generation in the family, he was also a cat person; when we were clearing his house, a difficult and emotional task when it is home of someone you loved, the only thing my wife wanted were these two cats and they have pride of place in our home.
Worthless but there true value is incalculable.Β

I wish I had a good picture of my father's ceramic cat statue that he had inherited from his grandfather. Its beautiful to me, and increadibly sentimental! I also think that it's awesome that some of the most important objects we inherit seem to have no true value at all except to us, but thats ok! Thats what makes these trinkets or statues have worth, it's what makes them special!! ππ±π
