just back from Sendai last nite (that was my 4th visit to that city lolz)
while the 4 charas above are the official mascots at Sendai castle; which are too cute to be true IMO cant resist their cuteness

anyway, respectively from L to R are:

Iroha - the pink tree sparrow, Tono's daughter; based on Date Tojiro Masamune's daughter of the same name

Mame-Kojyuro - the zunda mame(bean) samurai, Tono's baby sitter guardian; based on the Katakura Kojyuro Kagetsuna

Tono (or lit. means "Lord") - the 1 eyed tree sparrow; obviously based on Date Tojiro Masamune

Mamebozu - the zunda mame(bean) priest; based on Kosai Osho, the priest who teach spiritual training to young Botenmaru (Masamune's childhood name); which also served as narrator/voice guide of the Sendai castle museum
(random trivia: mamebozu is voiced by Wakamoto who also voiced S.Basara's Nobunaga..... such a rough voice for such a cute chara lulz) xDD

PS: in case u dont know or havent realize it, the tree sparrows are used as the mascot due to the Date clan's crest which included 2 sparrows in it. While the zunda mames are the sweet/japanese dessert that was 1st created by Date Masamune

the Date clan's crest was/can be easily found through google, while the additional free pattern is from pixiv , again ^^
