I like to think that the winged people? Spirits? You know what Anti and Dark are supposed to be, have their souls placed somewhere on their bodies depending on which Youtuber they are trying to take form of. If they have a logo like Jack's, a body part, then it's easy to know where it will be found. The other way is if that Youtuber has a certain characteristic that stands out. For example, "strength" might be taken literally and the soul might be found in that guardian's bicep. That in turn, gives them powers based on the body part it's on. I interpret that shown here is, a soul looking for a newborn. The soul is set loose when a guardian dies or when they use their powers all the time. Using powers often results in losing strengh literally and figuratively. There has to be a certain amount of magic to hold a soul in. There already is a good amount of magic in a soul but training, fighting, doing something brave and doing good things help increase the magic of the soul and the strength of a guardian.
