Well... I don't know how "Official" it is, but it's unofficially official that I've finally started working on a video game. Myself and a small band of artist are taking our first steps towards a "passion project" I don't have a lot of info to give right now, but hopefully I'll be able to do regular updates at some point in the future. (I'd love to do weekly/monthly dev blogs on youtube.) It will be like a fantasy RPG set in a fictional world.
The images are just some level test that I've been working on. The style isn't how the final product will look, and is just placeholder. I've had a lot of fun programming and replicating variables. Being a passion project that means that production will really be on and off. So hopefully you all will be hearing more soon.
(all meshes were made in blender and the final stills are from Unreal Engine 4)

Thanks a lot! At the moment, it might be a little too expensive. Lighting is a rather weak point for me, so I'm dying to practice more with it.

As far as modeling programs go, Blender has been the only one I've used.... I think it's fairly simple. I've actually only been using it at about 25% of it's potential. I still need to learn a lot about it, but it does indeed have a healthy online community which makes learning a lot easier.

My animation school doesn't teach us how to use Blender but 3DS Max instead- I'd have to try Blender for myself to compare and contrast the two hMMM

Well, they're really most hobby projects made in AdventureGameStudio , which while not the most high-tech game engine,
is 100% free, easy to learn and has by far the nicest community I've ever come across on the internet.
I've mostly made just shorter games, but some of them share the same characters, you can find and download them for free on Gamejolt
