Akira Toriyama was a simple man with the heart of an artist and I bet he never knew who many hearts just like his he would touch, influence and inspire with his creations. I grew up watching dragon ball z on TV, I had the movies in DVD and watched it over on repeat, and one of the first "comics" I tried to make was recreating the Bardock special pausing the movie and drawing some key scenes and writing the dialogue. Toriyama will never know my story and the story of many others similar to mine, but I know many artists and many stories exist today because of him.
