This is a beautifully done photo, so much so that the title really doesn't fit unless you know the location and circumstance. Even then there isn't much to suggest poverty in the image itself. There is nothing about the person and nothing in the background to suggest that this is anything but a nicely done portrait of a human being.
Having said that, it's true poverty in your country and others that makes some people in America look ridiculous when they point to '
