Fans of Bubba the Redneck Werewolf will be familiar with the talented Mr Surface; he's the man responsible for drawing the lycanthropic lunkhead's most recent adventures, including the main story in the Bubba Sci-Fi Special (a tale entitled "The X-Philes", just so you know), the book in which Apeman and Monkeyboy made their debut appearance. Because he's an altogether splendid sort of chap, he found the time to render the simian superheroes in his own smashing style – and as you can see, the end result is a mightily impressive piece of work. Truly, AM and MB have never looked so realistic or imposingly ferocious. Just try not to think too much about what it is that Monkeyboy's throwing at you.
