I've never used Linux, but when I do, I'll start with Slackware 'cause it's got the coolest name.

So how come Slackware's ponysona doesn't look that happy?

Doesn't look happy cause Slackware is one of the most difficult to install distros. If you plan to use linux someday I hope you start with another distro like Fedora, Ubuntu or Mint, are much simpler.

Slackware is actually far easier than other distros. (mostly Gentoo) though probably also easier than recent Arch (the kind without the installer).

I use Fedora, it's who more fits to my needs, especially in the case of software development...

But as I said, Ubuntu and Mint are great options to any user.
