The commissioner requested it at the convention, but definitely gave me the major ideas (That he should have a sword, and be summoning a magic D20. He also wanted him in a hooded cloak) So the majority of the design was there already, the little details were sort of figured out as I drew it.

Thoroughly impressed. There is a lot there you came up with yourself then (love that book!).
I also love the integration of all the little meaningful details -- from the hourglass, to the "is it Thursday yet", to the Critter logo as the belt clasp....
Not to mention he looks like Mercer and wears bracelets/leather bands just like he does as the DM.
I feel like I can learn so much from studying your work! (I have loved your stuff ever since I first discovered your Balder's Gate comic work.)
