Me too, I think, that it is pre-canon! Graves know Creadence before Grind have stole him. And I think their relationships was more than frendly, that's why GrindΒ Β behaved with him whith that way...

You're welcome. Well, i wondered about that actually, did Graves know Credence before Grind' took his body or not ? Or did Grind' just became aware of Credence's existence after using Graves, when Tina got sacked after trying to help Credence by fighting his stepmom and then that could be how Grind' got to know him. So many questions left unanswered both in film and script, hope we'll get answers in the next one !

I thought about it too but there's no info about it, I guess that it was only Grindelwald's plan about Credence, but it's just an opinion. Maybe Graves knows about Credence, but not too much, only about his step mother and all this anti wizards things.Β

This is fantastic fanart!Β As long as I see it as AU...............Β Do you wonder what the producers/director/JK ROWLING thought when filming those Clarence/Graves scenes with the UST and increasing intimacy?Β I heard/read an interview with the actors where they were asked about it and the claimed it wasn't directed that way but acting choices.Β I guess Colin Farrell can't help being a silver fox.Β And Ezra Miller pointed out that Credence is so touch starved and Graves is the only person to actually touch him..... Ignoring theΒ fact that he is ALWAYS holding hands with little sister,Β Modesty.Β

That is strange that they said that, because in the script, their relationship is very ambiguous too : the word "seductive" is used when Graves touches Credence's hand to heal it. It is strongly hinted that Credence is in love with Grave (a sentence goes like when he sees him, the rest of the world disappears). There are several hints though that Grave's feelings and care are completely faked and manipulative, be it towards Credence or Modesty afterwards.
