And now that he can walk, it is time to go a little faster. The proud mother looks on as the little colt tries to decide if this is all a good thing or not.

Roan babies like that will be born dark and get lighter as they mature, he wouldn't be showing that color before a year old.

that and not all roans start dark. some start like this and lighten up to the point that pretty much only the dark points remain. for example [link]
though I will be keeping him this dark as an adult as well

Ok, none of the roan babies I've seen looked like that, but I've only seen four or five and these look like larger breeds than the babies I've seen which are usually Arabians or smaller mixed breed horses.

she is on the HARPG but I'm not. We just like doing trades. I've known her IRL for 16 years. But since she moved we do most of out yapping online via DA.
