For my Edward Elric cosplay c:I had to wait a day to get the rest of the materials I need to continue making his automail arm, and I needed something to do today, so I ruined one of my books to make this X3
Luckily I had a book with nothing written on the cover that I've never even read and never will. All I had to do was cover up the binding (where the title of the book was) and draw on the cover ouo

Lucky you have a book like this! I have a red leather book too but it HAS something written to its back! I have another lether book black that has nothing written on the cover (Sherlock Holmes stories) however it has some pages ready to be cut off and I am afraid to move it around much just in case it gets torn apart!

Yes I was lucky to find it! It's the only book I have that has nothing written on it. I had some that just had imprints of the name, but that would have still shown and besides those were books I didn't want to ruin.

That's awesome! I'm getting my cosplay ready for a convention this October but I'm going to be Ed for Halloween too. At my school we get to wear our costumes to school on Halloween so I can't wait to go dressed up as Ed and have everyone except a few of my anime loving friends have no idea who I am xDD

I live in a crappy neighborhood were almost everyone is way to religious.. (Which is ok..bu they all hate anime ;-; ) so no one except my one friend is gonna know who I am.. XD and being the most hated girl in my grade will make it even better since I'mgonna wear contacts XD almost no one has seen me without my glasses XD

That sounds just like my entire state! But almost everyone I know doesn't even know what anime is because most people here are really sheltered from the outside world by their parents xD I asked one of them if they liked anime once and they said, "Anime? Is that a movie or something?" But luckily I do know of a few people who love anime, one of whom is my friend. But no one will know who I am because that one girl who is my friend is transferring to a different school next year. One girl that I kinda know is actually a huge FMA fan, and since she's short, she reacts just like Ed when you call her short XD But since I only kinda know her it all depends on wether or not I run into her X3

(I feel like a noob but) if your cosplaying as an anime character do you have to make the costume yourself? Sorry if that's kind of a stupid question xD I just have never cosplayed before *gasp* and I just wanted to know since I'm going to a convention

And not exactly. Most cosplayers at least make some of their costume but some don't make any of it. I bought most of my cosplay (his cloths, watch, and a wig). The only thing I'm making is his arm and this book and maybe a few more things if I get any good ideas X3
