I started watching last Summer and I'm just about caught up. I got all 7 seasons for Christmas, just finished season 6 and will start on season 7 probably this evening.

oh okay so you're not done either! ahhh I actually loved the first 2 episodes of season 7. dean did something that rather upset me though sdklgjklsg. it only upset me because I love him. ;_;
but s7 is very good so far... better than s6, which I liked but it's my least favorite season.
I long for the early seasons sometimes, even though I still adore the show.

Yeah, I think allot of people didn't care much for S6. It had lots of great moments, but was so hard to follow. The story jumps around so much between soulless sam, to hunting vamp nests and the whole Eve thing.... and somehow Purgatory is jammed into all that. It's like they couldn't settle on one story. Granted eventually everything did come together to serve a perpose in the end, but still... I liked the earlier seasons best. Seasons 1-3 were my faves. "Mystery Spot" was what really sucked me into the show.

yeah. D: it took them a little bit to get back in the groove... but there were some good episodes in s6. soulless!sam was amusing at times (but in the beginning it distressed the hell out of me because I was only 85% sure that was soulless!sam, and then when dean finally knew he had to do something I was like FINally omfg).
OMG MYSTERY SPOT IS SUCH A GOOD EPISODE. ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES. SO MANY FEELINGS. ;_; u g h I still can't.
I actually think 6x22 is one of my new fav episodes, mostly because of sam, and "you know me, you know why. I can't leave my brother alone out there".
and then 7x02 was so good omg
