Thank you so much Toni. The tutorial that I used was here [link] and I used a Tamron macro 1:1 90mm lens. I took some more this afternoon but haven't looked through them yet.
Oh and don't bother to leave any words for the tutorial guy, he never replies except for his chosen few. I've Faved a few of his shots and left messages, and thanked for the tutorial and asked him a question, all over a period of time but I never get an answer. I won't be visiting his pages again. There are wonderful and kind people on here to spend my time with instead

I've thought of buying some extension tube also, but I'm not sure about how they affect on image quality. I guess it's the best to buy a real lens for macros?

The cheap extension tubes (I'm talking eBay and Australian dollars) were $25 including postage, the expensive ones that keep your ability to use aperture are more like $100. In hindsight I think I'd have saved up for the expensive ones! I was attempting to use them with my macro lens but the tutor that did the macro workshop for me said that's probably overkill on most things, he would be using them on a normal lens.
If any of that is any help to you at all LOL I do like my macro lens very much. It was about $400 I think - it was a gift so I tried not to listen to the price too much.

Thanks for the info.
I'm thinking to buy the lens instead of tube.
The prizes here on macro lenses are something from 250β¬ up to 1000β¬, depending what is the brand.
Has your 90mm macro lens been good? Are you able to get enough close to your subjects or do you wish the focal length to be longer?
I'm interested in Sigma's 105mm macro lens, so that's why I'm asking this. The lenses have almost same focal length.

Yes I'd say the 90mm has been fine. I didn't even know for sure I would use it much when I got it so we bought the cheapest one we could find. The 105mm sounds wonderful and that extra 15mm would make a difference I think. The closest I can get my 90mm is about 70mm or so. I *think* you could get closer with the 105?
For my droplet shots I was about as close as I could get and have only cropped top and bottom from these, the width is left alone if that's any help.

Thank you so much Fatima I'm really pleased that you like it. I wonder how you'd go drawing something like these colour swirls behind your characters? Or maybe it would be too distracting. Maybe a dress in these colours LOL
