This is for my friend *inspiredcreativity , who is celebrating his birthday today! Happy Birthday, dear Matthew and many more!
Hope comes in many forms and we all need it sometime. Symbolic of this is not necessarily religious, the dove is used as a universal symbol of this feeling. But feel free to take it any way you want
Reference for dove is a commercial stock photo, paper texture is my own and sky belongs to its creator - I used my window a reference
CS6+Wacom tablet, some six hours of work.

Thank you very much Maylar. It is very symbolic in that my body may have become a prison, but my spirit and heart can be free like the dove. Hope is about the future and I have to confess I have little hope. However, by living in the present, I need not worry about the future.
The composition is very nicely done, with the dove framed by clouds and set against the blueness of the sky. The dove's detail work and shading for shadow and dimensionality are very well done.
