Samus Aran is easily one of my all-time favorite video game characters. I've loved her for years now.I aimed to show her more human side by being affectionate with the baby metroid.
At the end of Metroid II, the baby metroid hatches and the first thing it sees its Samus, believeing she is its mother. Despite being on the job, Samus refused to destroy it and even brought it back with her on her ship, further showing she has compassion. I really admired this exploration of the depth of her character and it was fun to draw her being more tender. ^^Her design is based on Super Metroid

I must agree with you, Samus is the most badass character ever! Although some people have perverted ideas of her, which fucking disgust me, I have always had the perspective of her being an almighty god of badassery!

Yes I agree. Of course she's beautiful, but there's a lot more to her than her looks, otherwise many of us wouldn't love her the way we do. I love her strength and resiliency, as Samus is the ultimate deadly woman

This is it! This, and the SSBM unmasked trophy are my favorite iterations, and yes; her Super/Fusion designs are near-identical...with Super being quite more revealing.
Also, I have Metroid II, come to think of it, but I never beat it. Lol I was going to get the Super GameBoy adapter for my old SNES, and play it there, but I never did.
Anyways, I LOVE this! Very nice job!

some of the art work featuring Samus with the baby Metroid I find rather cute. Hard to beleive how a terrifying creature can be seen as cute. X3
In older games I see little emotion drawn from Samus, but her interactions with the aby metroid I felt made her appear more human. Samus' sense of mother like quality t help the baby made me feel for the character. Sadly, I never completed a single Metroid game to know hw the stories end.

Metroid is an awesome series, though I prefer the older games. Super Metroid's my favorite. There's also a Metroid manga that goes into Samus' backstory further, and it's very well done ^^
