Description I'm not very good at.. natural backgrounds. But since it's only my second one, I can excuse the time difference in colouring it (couple of days) and my girl (couple hours).
I hope I get quicker soon!

Don't worry, I think the background is lovely (Natural backgrounds are a bit of an Achilles heel for me as well, so I more than sympathize! ) You've chosen a beautiful color palette here, and the gesture of her hands is spot-on. Beautiful

Certainly! Also, I love the way you incorporate your art into those tiny antique pins and necklaces. Where do you get such things, if you don't mind my asking? I'd love to be able to turn my stuff into jewelry, but I have no idea where to even start since I'm so un-crafty

Um... I don't have my art in antique pins and necklaces??? I too would love to have my art in pins and necklaces??
I do have them as pink-back buttons and pocket mirrors though, is that what you mean??

YES. Sorry, I thought it was jewelry, I only looked at the thumbnails briefly. I was just wondering if you had a good source for findings like that, or whether you've got some special technique you use for permanence...? If so, you could probably carry that over to jewelry, if you found necklace or earring backs.

Thankyou! I have them made for me on a wonderful site called Etsy, where good folk sell all sorts of hand-made things. I'll look around for custom jewellery too, though : )

Ah, excellent. I've been looking into Etsy for a little while, maybe I should get more serious about it

Buenos dias, this be Cappy: Patron Saint of letting special artists like you know they rock!

I gotta say, I really like what I see here. I was totally blown away when I realized this wasn't a digital piece. The amount of detail is boggling. What's more boggling, though, is your ability to make da ladiez all, well, lady-like. I think the best way to describe them is "classy" with every girl I stumbled upon in your gallery; they remind me of those old Victorian paintings.

You definitely have talent, and I see a bright future ahead of you in the world of art. So take care and keep on rockin' my fellow art buddy!

Absolutely beautiful dear, I myself am utterly crap at backgrounds so I sympathize

Your art strongly reminds me of a lot of Munch's Art Nouveau work
