its done by the same studio as K-on's, so the quality is similar. Overall it's good a lot of cool factor, action wise. You can see some clips on page. (her webcam)

Story wise, its a "meh" it feels like "I wrote this overnight to meet deadline" kind of thing, writers can't hide that.
It wasn't as well thought out about the world, characters, and setting.
It's a typical slap something in quick setting.
With the mysterious quality of the originals, one should be able to come up with a lot more fantasy world ideas. I was hoping to see more of the fantasy and less of the girl talk thing.
But I suppose more fantasy means more "budget" because none of the typical school background stock can be used. (Since JP anime studios do have a lot of that kind of stock) A better fantasy show would require much longer production time and much higher budget, which they probably don't have for that OVA.
I am hoping the actual series will be better, but i wasn't too fond of it like I am crazy about Fate Zero right now. :3 I want to do a fanart on it before the series ends.

You're right though. I guess another down point is that it's really short. I thought it would have quite a few episodes. But I must say, I found the fight scenes with Black Rock Shooter really enjoyable~
I love the fact that since the characters don't talk, they don't give anything away ^^
Those scenes flowed really well too. Usually in anime, fight scenes are rather stiff because the artists decided to add too much shading, limiting the frames. The art style for K-On and Black Rock Shooter doesn't allow a lot of shading so it all flows really well

mostly photoshop CS3 and after effects, i ink in Paint tool sai.
I have tried other programs (flash, toonboom, stylos) but went back to photoshop.

mostly photoshop, paint tool sai is easy to ink so i use that for inking.
Actually its much, much easier to make anime style in photoshop than flash, because flash's brush tool sucks, you can do it with more effort though zoom in and ink at 300% and use a lot of gradient, still not going to be the best. Photoshop is plenty. Flash also tend to make one over-animate because of instant testing, or under animate for using symbols.
I used to port flash into photoshop to finish coloring.
Currently, I use photoshop because its more like paper animating, less testing and I do better that way.
I am not the only one using photoshop to animate.
It's a good tool. The only thing is its bitmap, not vector, so it takes more disk room to store all the animation, and can't just simply change the size of the drawings.

I was wondering, with Edepth Angel, are you ever going to try and get it published? Like, as a manga or something?

Long story short, edepth was published for one issue by a publisher and dropped. The publisher died.
Got some offer to be presented but i didn't feel they could help much so i turned it down.
I am self-publishing right now and making my own anime, it's another way to get them made but it's a lot harder because i do everything myself. 
I will still try to submit to bigger publishers accordingly doing shorts and see what happens. But as of now, i do live on my own work, just barely.
