Description i've wanted to paint buddha for a long time, but was never satisfied with the reference. turns out i had my own reference from a photo at a local museum that i had thought i lost in a computer crash. i found a back up cd... woot!


playing with more texture in my paintings. i thought this was a perfect opportunity to experiment a bit. i used acrylic soft gel to get the woodgrain look. he is also spiced up with metallic gold paint but it doesn't show in the photo.

along with how you did some brush stroke on your
