Got one, decided to splurge a bit once I made a big expedition to the center of a planet. And returned with a ton of resources. I don't usually visit the core because its a annoying to find my way back.

Once you have a fully upgraded matter manipulator its pretty easy to just make a new path back up.

I plan to make doubloons a pretty commonplace currency in my Starbound Universe. They are the perfect currency for shady dealings in my opinion. And since most of my characters are crooks if not straight up villains it would make sense.

I had built a lot before my computer crashed and I lost it all (this was before 1.0). Now my remade main character Kriki will need too rebuild her fuel company.

Kriki (under the alias of The Reaper) is also a crime lord in charge of the Venom Nova syndicate. Which also needs rebuilding.

I also had a data loss. My first character was a Glitch named stark whose world got reset during a power outage but all of the quests he completed did not reset so I was stuck.
Now Im with a novakid character named Nick. For some reason the guardian of the avian temple showed up to the ark, even though I haven't completed that yet.

Lol. Well it is a big game so there are still bound to be a few bugs. I'm now backing up my data so that should help.

I'll probably make a character designed to represent the hero that will be the canon person to my universe that defeated the Ruin.

I'm a bit surprised they just didnt share the universe with all of your characters. Or better yet, go the terraria route and have seperate worlds and every character can visit every world you make. Rather than every special snow flake gets his or her unique universe no one else can touch.

Didn't really put the effort of unlocking the gate to the outpost for more than one character before.

Well for starters everything you unlock at the outpost is unlocked for every character. For the most part though the universe is pretty big and it gives each character a different starter world so if you want to find the base of another one of your character's you will need to record that system's coordinates.
