This Halloweeen, our trick or treating was postponed because of a storm coming through but, fun was still had at our house. While we were sitting in the dark after the power went out, two branches fell from a tree in our back yard and missed all three of our cars and the vehicle of one of my friends. However, we stood in the parking lot and laughed for several minutes because one of the branches had somehow fallen around and UNDER my friend's car, preventing her from leaving.

Halloween is actually my favorite holiday! I love making costumes and dressing up! I also love going to haunted houses, and this year I got to go to a really fun one. I startle easily, but I always laugh at myself afterward; I laughed a lot this year.

I've loved dressing up since I was little, so Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Now that I am an adult, I can't bring myself to get rid of any of my costumes (with the exception of those that no longer fit), so I wear a different old costume every day  for a week until the 31st when I premier a new one.

I'm going through a big surgery soon and want to stay as long as possible with them as I can.

This Halloween, I spent in with my mother and my two five month old puppies. I passed out the candy to the trick or treaters and my mother helped to keep the puppies occupied. We watched "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "You're not Elected, Charlie Brown."

On Halloween, I bake cookies in form of ghosts, bats, hands, monster etc.. I also like to make pumpkin flavoured sweets and desserts and share them with my family.  One of the fun parts on halloween is decorating my room, so it gives off a halloween-like feeling
When it's getting dark outsite, I spend the night watching halloween movies, or reading ghost stories

I celebrate by making my own costume even though I am to old to go trick or treating. Then I head over to my relatives house since ours doesn't get any trick or treaters. There we scare kids as they come up the driveway and at the end they get a treat because they survived our tricks.

This Halloween my family and I went to my Grandmother's nursing home and reverse trick-or-treated. We got all dressed up (we brought my grandmother's dog too, and dressed him up like an angel) and went around to all of the different rooms passing out candy to the residents (the ones that could have it anyways). We asked the nurses in advance, just to make sure we weren't giving candy to diabetics or anything, and I made bracelets for the ones that couldn't have it.

Halloween is a splendid holiday some might say. The decorations giving off a haunted feel, the candy you see as children approach the neighborhood's doors; everything seems existing. On occasion, my usual Halloween events consist of carving family pumpkins. Whether it's a silly face, or spooky- much fitting for this interesting holiday, we carve 'em. Watching creepy movies and crafting decor for our yard is also a major role in my relative's holiday fun! Let me say, we sure get a kick of creativity when it comes to these things. x3 Dressing up in crazy makeup and costumes is another thing!

I celebrate Halloween by going to my best friend's uncle's house.  He is infamous in his neighborhood for the show he puts on every year.  He has a bunch of props, tons of lights, and a voice distorting microphone that he uses to talk to people while he pretends to be one of the props laying around his yard.  We basically eat pizza, enjoy his antics, and plan to set up a hashtag for him to use next year.

Halloween isn't a well celebrated holiday here. But i've always loved it, so I decided to buy and make up "goodie-bags". I didn't really decorate, there's natural spider webs everywhere on our property so not necessary, I did paint something quick to show that I was offering something for any trick-or-treaters and strung it on our gate. Then I spent the night watching Heroes with my sister as we waited.

At my house, we decorate the front yard with various Halloween themed decorations, carve pumpkins, and go trick or treating. Those that dont want to go out stay behind and hand out candy. Once it gets really dark we usually watch a Halloween movie, like the Nightmare before Christmas.

I love Halloween, and wish I had cool traditions, before I moved to China I would put demon wings on my dog and let her scare the neighborhood kids, but I can't do that without my puppy.  For the time being I've satisfied myself with teaching all my Chinese students about Halloween, its traditions and history while handing out candy and making them dress-up for class. I got to set the coolest homework ever: write your own scary Halloween story, I'm really looking forward to grading that!

I don't really celebrate Halloween anymore since I'm too old for trick or treating and busy with schoolwork. I usually treat myself to some more chocolate that I would normally and try to not scare myself silly since I'm a total chicken when I comes to scary stuff XD

For Halloween, our LARP (live action roleplay) group throws on a special event where the ghosts of past villains can come back from the dead to terrorize the players again.  We make everything creepy, decoration wise, while already being out in the woods by ourselves, which makes for a super immersive experience.  Zombies, monsters, and spirits are out all weekend, keeping everyone up and screaming the whole weekend XD

I celebrate Halloween by dressing up for work, and decorating the house with pumpkins and crime scene tape and things like that. Then, since my kids are too old for me to take Trick or Treating, I hand out candy to the neighborhood kids.

Here in Switzerland we dont celebrate Halloween. Even so, there are many good horror movies in the tv and I like to watch them all night long.
