No border, no photo of me.
A border isn't distracting. You know about exhibitions? You everytime use a passe-partout. Simple and clean. That's all. Getting some distance from the rest floating around. And the photo is the same.
People here just don't use it. I do.

Phew.. That's a pretty hard question to answer what photography is REALLY about. I mean there are sooo many possible ways how to interpret it. And they're used... For the one it's transporting the facts. To show something "in reality". No matter about composition, feelings or retouching afterwards. For the other ists only art. only expressional things to express theri deepest parts of the soul or anything like that. And many in between.
I think for me it has to be a mixture. Combining several elements and techniques to something new.
So what about you?

Well, I have studied art history, picture science and aesthetics extensively at uni level, and I have since long given up trying to do that. But still, it to me seems a bit like some cases of medical diagnostics, if 8 out 16 criteria apply, then you suffer from this particular syndrome.

The problem is, whose criteria, and who is the doc... Nevertheless, I really liked that pic, and I am sure you do too.
