Description A while back I volunteered at a local Barns & Noble for the last Harry Potter book release. I carver a number of simple wands out of chopsticks for the others who were volunteering and dressing up in wizard costumes. As I was taking entries for the costume contest they were having, a large number of people commented on how much they loved my wands and if they could buy them from me. So this got me thinking. Why don't I make more and try and sell them. So I did and they have been selling like crazy. Mostly by mothers wanting to give them to there kids, who love Harry Potter, as gifts.

Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish and sometimes Instant Krazy Glue because it makes a hard plastic protective coting with a nice high gloss. I use the glue on softer woods that can easily be damaged. For hard woods just the Poly.
