Description B pencil.

An Elf and a horse. Probably an attempt to find an OC lover for Legolas, before I realised that he is blatantly and devotedly in love with Aragorn.

Refs used were a particularly beautiful woman modelling pearls on the front of a National Geographic, and a random Arab horse. Not sure where that was from. The somewhat dodgy streaks in the background are meant to be sunbeams, and were created with, oh yes, a rubber. Hmm, effect a bit dodgy.

Not the worst Mary-Sue I've ever created, and at least the horse is decent.

You seem to share my passion for the LOTR back-story and all that jazz! Have you read the Silmarillion??

This is really good btw. The elf is very very elf-like, and the horse is very very horse-like.

Thank you! It's an oldish piece of work, so of course I can see lots of flaws in it now (why is her head so big?!), but the horse I'm still pleased with, and the background, despite dodgy sunbeams.

Yes, I've read The Silmarillion, the Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Children of Hurin, and some of The Lost Tales. I've been a huge fan for years! Nice to meet a fellow.

You are, if I am not mistaken, a sister of Barty's?

He is a fellow friend of mine; you seem to be very alike in personality and language.

I loved all of those!! So incredibly cool... Have you read Unfinished Tales?

Ooo - that's weird. Who are you? I am indeed his older sister. Please tell me all his teenage secrets so that I can frighten him by suddenly becoming psychic. Hmm... Unfinished Tales. I confuse them with The Lost Tales. I know I've read some of one of them. Can you tell me the difference?

I haven't read The Lost Tales, so I can't tell you.

I did get The Children Of Hurin for my birthday on Tuesday though.

I'm a friend of Bart's, from school, despite the fact I am in Yr 13 and he's in Yr 10.

the horse is beautiful, even though I'm not very into those horses and the background is very good too

Thank you. Arabs seem like quite Elven horses to me. They sort of look the same.

Legolas devoted to Aragorn? That's new for me!

Anyway, the pic is really amazing. The background is wonderful, the horse great, and the elf is an elf

Yeah, the evidence is all there, though I'm quite sure Tolkien didn't intend it to be. I mean Legolas refused to sail to Valinor till after Aragorn died "for the love of the King Elessar" (or similar words...). Heh.

Anyway, thanks lots for your kind comments.

Oh, now it's clearer... Thanks for the explanation!

All my pleasure!
