Description “Its main armament consists of three 200cm hellbores, mounted separately in three turrets. Secondary armament includes sixteen 30cm hellbore infinite repeaters in two lateral batteries, ten 40cm BL mortars, four 240cm howitzers, and a heavy VLS missile system. Road speed is approximately 110 kph; sprint speed is much higher, since internal contragravity generators can allow the machine to become airborne. In fact, the Mark XXXIII was designed to serve as its own landing boat for planetary assault. Where earlier Bolo marks were occasionally known as "continental siege units," the Mark XXXIII was, in fact, a planetary siege unit, capable of engaging enemy warships in near-space.” From-

Armor would be about 7 feet thick of endurachrome, and capable of withstanding over 65 million joules of kinetic impact, with high density ceramic tiles imbedded for plasma and laser resistance. The Mark XXXIII is described as weighing 32,000 tons “similar to a battleship” however in reality at this scale with these weapons according to material weight calculations this thing would easily weigh in excess of 480,000 tons.

Over 500 feet long including the guns, over 130 feet tall and 275 feet wide

Bolos do have their limitations but as the Marks get up their using the XXXIII as an example, realistically no opponent could defeat a mark XXXIII, and anyone reading this thinking differently take some time to read the books. Any Sci-fi / fantasy "hero" can be made out to be the toughest and strongest, but the books make the best argument of all time as to WHY these super AI tanks truly are the top of the food chain. Was just telling my friend a Bolo tank's best assets isn't their firepower or their armor, both of which could potentially be over shadowed in anyone else's sci-fi setting if you hold down the zero key long enough. BUT the Bolos will always be smarter, that can't be said for anything else. Put the AI of a Mark XXXIII or heck the XXV into an automatic car washing machine and I grantee in 10 says it will have orchestrated a way using what it had available to overthrow the Imperium of man or an army of 10,000,000 Spartan soldiers.

Given contragravity and fusion powerplants, the thing would actually work.  But you forgot to mention the important thing: the late bolos were fully self-aware.

Yep, after what Mark 20 I think? I believe that was the one that went off and on it's own and scared off those crystal aliens landing on the moon, and than, mark 25 the first Bolo with practically all the fail safes removed allowing full capacity all the time "granted it quickly deemed it's first mission necessary to die for honor.

This is wonderful.  Has the sense of solidity and power, looks like a viable design, and has the Hellebores.  Why Hollywood hasn't made a movie about the Bolos... but this is as good as any I've seen.  Congratulations!

Thanks for the kind worlds, in a way I am happy a Bolo hasn't yet been made, either A I figured it would have been lacking with movie technologies, and worse yet they may dumb down the brilliance that the Bolos posses so the average viewer would understand lol. That said give me a movie with Transformers special effects and this level of awesome and you got your self a winner.
