Description Update: here's the fixed pictures! Yay!!!! It was my memory card, for some reason it was saving everything funky, switched it and tada!!! Not perfect, but MUCH better at least.

Another tutorial, this one by Iza Malczk again-(IzaMalczyk.etsy.com). Again, I had to change it before I even tried it-I can't just make cookie cutter stuff, even when I don't know what I'm doing and should be following the directions! I used twisted wire for the armature, and balled up the ends; the tute calls for plain wire and loops on the ends of the arms. I also wired on the center bead, rather than sliding it onto the central wire, because I was dead set on using this gorgeous garnet, and it wouldn't fit over the central wire. Then I cxidized the whole thing to make the texture really show up. I'm pleased with it for a first attempt, but can already see changes I want to make.

Thank you! You should try the tutorial-it's very well written and not that difficult! Iza writes great tutes that are very creative.

very nice!
i like the shape, and the balled ends make it nice and clean.

Thanks! Iza's tute doesn't say to do the balled ends, but one of her crosses had the twisted wire and balled ends, so I just had to do that. And I agree, it does make it look cleaner and more finished. The ones with the little curlies are nice too, but they look less professional to me.

they look more, flouncy.
which is fine, but, the balls are just cleaner.

I was going for more masculine, and it must have worked. My son took one look at it and said, "this is mine, right?"

Thanks! If you could see it in person, you'd see the errors, though. I definitely want to try this one again-it was a great tutorial, and it leaves lots of possiblities open for ways to make it your own, rather than copycat/cookie cutter. If you REALLY want to see WOW, go to Iza's site-her Etsy shop only lists some of her stuff. You can see all her cross variations if you start looking through from page 4 on back-[link] She is constantly aweing me with her talent and creativity. When I grow up, I wanna be like her!

And having said that, I went there, and said wow again! Be sure if you go to check out My Friend on page one. Too cool!
