This is a scene from the end of chapter 1 of one of my novels, the one I'm about to start querying. It's a fat-positive YA retelling of Pride & Prejudice set in rural Arkansas. The main character's little sister started a fight at the school dance, so she had to swoop in and (literally) whisk her off her feet before little sis can get what's coming to her. haha The lighting on this one was a real challenge for me! I'm not used to drawing in what's basically concert lighting. haha I'm not 1000% satisfied with it, but I am happy with it. Def gotta do some more light studies!
I think this book is super fun to read, and I hope you all get to do so soon!
