Worked on this for 3 days straight! The longest I've spent on a single drawing this year. This is done in Photoshop and I'm proud to say....nothing is traced from the reference picture, not even the base sketch.If you like what you see....please...pleaseee....see the full sized image for complete satisfaction

The leather looks so real I could reach out and touch it..
and I am highly impressed by the hand with the gun, how the arm is craned behind her back and it just looks awesome.
I can't wait to see the movie ^.^

Thank you! It really was worth the effort. I like the leather too! there's something about their textures that are easier to achieve than the rest. And I loved the hand with the gun as well....initially, the hand turned out too detailed that it overcomes the face, had to redo to make them less "detailed".

jesus almighty.. this was well worth the effort. i remember the original anime, and have been eagerly anticipating the new film.

Thank's! I didn't quite like the original anime though....but I really love how the previews of the movie look like. Would definitely watch it once it's out! Actually there was a reference image, I just don't trace it straight from there. I look and I draw.
The most difficult part would have to be her left arm. It's really difficult to get the color and the texture right. And surprisingly enough, the lips are equally difficult to color. Most of the time, it turned out too dark or too reddish.
